Do you provide transport to the start of the walk at Lewis-Manning Hospice or Oakhaven Hospice?

Yes, this year you can pay extra to get a transfer from Oakhaven Hospice to Lewis-Manning Hospice or from Lewis-Manning Hospice to Oakhaven Hospice. This allows you to park your car at one end of the walk back to it at for the end of the walk.

The both buses will depart Oakhaven Hospice and Lewis-Manning Hospice at 7.30am and aim to reach the other hospice for the start of the walk at 8.30am.

Is there a minimum age requirement to enter the event?

Yes, the minimum age is 8 years old and children aged between 8 and 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Are dogs allowed on the walk?

Yes, dogs are permitted on the walk, but please obey local bylaws and keep your dog on a lead where indicated.

Is the route sign posted?

Yes. You are following the costal path but we have marshals at key points to direct you.

Are refreshments provided on route?

Yes there are check in points at Boscombe, Mudeford Quay and Barton on Sea where water is provided & a comfort stop. Plus at Mudeford (the half way point) there are snacks and hot drinks are kindly provided by the Rapid Relief Charity.

How do I cross the water at Mudeford?

Bring your water rings… no not really!! You will gain a discounted price of £1 on presentation of a voucher (included in your pack) courtesy of the Mudeford Ferry Company.

What do I need to wear?

Good, well-worn in walking boots are recommended. Along with a light rucksack to bring waterproofs just in case!

Do I need to keep up with everyone?

No, everyone will walk at their own pace – why not enlist a friend to chat to? The achievement is finishing, it is not at race. If you’re not used to walking we highly recommend that between registering & the day you train & get some miles into your legs.

If I am joining half way at Mudeford what time do I need to be there?

This is to be confirmed but we anticipate mid-morning.
