As many of our patients with life limiting illnesses begin social distancing due to COVID-19. We have great concerns about the affect of isolation and loneliness on these vulnerable local people.
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care has decided to take an active and early role in helping our local communities by putting in place plans to make regular contact with those at risk offering daily and weekly contact via the telephone, Skype, FaceTime and other social platforms. In addition we will help with visits at home and have also offered help and support to our NHS colleagues at this difficult time.
With the potential increase in demand for our services and the concerns about how we will recoup from a significant drop in fundraising events and donations, now is the time to support our charity. Now, more than ever, we need your help to make the difference.
