Breathlessness caused by life-limiting illnesses can be frightening. The Better Breathing Clinic at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care helps people with respiratory conditions, such as COPD and lung cancer, manage their symptoms better by supporting them with techniques to reduce breathlessness.

Who can come & how do I get referred?
You will need to be registered with a GP surgery within East Dorset and have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. We will discuss your care with your GP, with your permission, before you attend.
You can be referred to the Better Breathing Clinic by any health care professional directly linked to your care or you can refer yourself by calling 01202 708470.
Will I be charged for this service?
There is no cost to the patient to attend our Better Breathing Clinic but we encourage people to donate however much they can, so that we can keep offering our extraordinary palliative care. As a registered charity, we rely heavily on the local community’s help, support and donations to keep Lewis-Manning Hospice Care running as we only receive 20% funding from the NHS.
